Edgewater

Every dollar raised goes directly to improving the Edgewater experience for students, staff, and the community.

$1,375 per year (4 years)

Gala Family Scholarship

Awarded to a student excelling in engineering, science, technology, or computers, demonstrated through academics, extracurriculars, or personal achievements. This prestigious scholarship requires an annual letter to the EHS Foundation with an educational update and a school transcript.

Computer Repair

Many students cannot afford repairs to their assigned laptops in the event of damage or malfunction.  This money added to the Principal’s Fund that assists in paying for repairs for these students.

Edgewater Foundation Scholarship

Granted to EHS seniors enrolling in a technical school, career program, or college (community, public, or private). Applicants should have overcome significant challenges and will be selected based on financial need, academic achievement, good citizenship, extracurricular activities, personal accomplishments, and/or volunteerism.

$1,500 (one-time award)

Engineering, Science, and Technology Scholarship

For students enrolled in Edgewater’s EST program. Selection is based on financial need, academic performance, good citizenship, extracurricular involvement, personal accomplishments, and/or volunteerism.

Robert Brendan Carr Musician’s Award

Awarded to a Marching Eagle Band student who fosters camaraderie and demonstrates musical excellence and Eagle Spirit. The recipient must plan to major in Music Performance, Music Education, or participate in a college band, chorus, or orchestra. Selected by the EHS Band Director and Guidance Department.

$1,000 (one-time award)

Nicholas T. MacNichol Scholarship for Engineering

Established in memory of Nick MacNichol ( C/o 1989, UCF Industrial Engineering C/o 1993). Recognizes a senior for citizenship, community and school service, and academic excellence. Preference is given to STEM students attending a Florida institution.

$500 (one-time award)

Julia Pierson Public Service Scholarship

Recognizes a student aspiring to a career in public service at the federal, state, or local level. Applicants must submit a written summary of their community service experiences along with their application and essay.

$500 each, 6 awards

Student Services Resiliency Award

Awarded by the Student Services team, including 4 School Counselors, the Academic Dean, and the College and Career Specialist. Recognizes students who demonstrate extraordinary resilience by overcoming adversity, adapting to changes, solving problems creatively, persevering towards goals, and learning from failures.

$1,000 (one-time award)

Janice T. Leisher Memorial Scholarship

For a student pursuing a career in education. Selection is based on academic achievement, good citizenship, extracurricular activities, personal accomplishments, and a passion for learning and teaching. The recipient will be chosen by the Leisher Family in collaboration with the Guidance Office.

$500 (one-time award)

"The Mike" Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a student planning to major in communications or journalism.
